CURRICULUM
The curriculum at the school reflects the requirements of the National Curriculum and the advice of the Local Education Authority. Subjects are taught through themes or topics, and in experiential, child centred approach. We aim to help pupils to develop lively, enquiring minds and a love of learning, the ability to question and argue rationally and to think for themselves. Great emphasis is placed on mastery of basic or core subjects, Maths, English and Science. Teaching is carried out using a variety of different methods including individual, group and class situations as seen appropriate by the class teacher.
The school aims to offer a curriculum which is broad in nature, encouraging pupils to work hard and succeed at tasks, to work indepen

The school has a fine musical tradition and it is hoped that with the continued support of the LEA, this aspect of school will continue to thrive and grow. Our school choir performs in the community.
